Attendance Policy

Shaheen Academy Ratlam is committed to maintaining high standards of punctuality and regular attendance. This policy outlines the expectations, procedures, and consequences regarding student attendance.

School Timings

Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Sunday & Public Holidays Closed

Late Arrival

Students must arrive at school by 7:55 AM. The school gate closes at 8:00 AM. Students arriving after 8:00 AM will be marked late.

  • 1st late – Verbal warning
  • 2nd late – Note in school diary
  • 3rd late – Parent meeting with class teacher
  • 4+ lates in a month – Written notice and disciplinary action

Minimum Attendance Requirement

Students are required to maintain at least 75% attendance throughout the academic year. This is mandatory as per CBSE/State board norms.

Students with attendance below 75% may not be permitted to appear for final examinations.

Leave Rules

  • Prior Application: Leave must be applied in writing at least 3 days in advance (except emergencies).
  • Application Format: Parents must fill the leave application form in the school diary or submit a handwritten note.
  • Emergency Leave: In case of sudden illness or emergency, parents must inform the class teacher via phone/WhatsApp before 8:00 AM.
  • Medical Leave: For leave exceeding 3 days due to illness, a medical certificate from a registered doctor is required.
  • Unauthorised Absence: Students remaining absent without prior intimation will be marked "Unauthorised Absence", and a fine may be levied.

Early Departure

Early departure is only permitted in genuine emergencies. Parent must:

  • Send a written request or call the school office before 10:00 AM.
  • Personally come to collect the child from the school office.
  • Sign the early departure register maintained at the reception.

Consequences of Poor Attendance

  • Warning Letter: Issued to parents when attendance drops below 80%.
  • Parent Meeting: Mandatory meeting with the principal for attendance below 75%.
  • Loss of Extracurricular Activities: Students with low attendance may be debarred from sports, competitions, and school trips.
  • Exam Eligibility: As per board rules, attendance below 75% may lead to disqualification from exams.
